EAP

The EAP is a free and confidential resource available for you and your family — even if you’re not enrolled in a benefit plan through Michaels.

We care about your mental health as much as we care about your physical health, so all full-time Team Members are eligible to receive up to three face-to-face counseling sessions per issue at no charge using the EAP.

The EAP can help you:

  1. Manage stress, money worries and family worries.
  2. Deal with work/life services like childcare, elder care and education services.
  3. Locate resources for adoption, relocating, camps, volunteer opportunities, pets and more.

Tuition Assistance

Michaels offers tuition assistance to help you pay a portion of the cost for your college tuition or language programs for professional and personal development.

Most Team Members are eligible to receive up to $2,000 per year in assistance. To apply, you must meet all criteria outlined in the Tuition Reimbursement Policy (also available in French), and complete the necessary form. For more information and complete eligibility requirements, contact Team Member Services. You may also log in to the Knowledge Zone, click Human Resources and then Tuition Assistance.

Adoption Assistance

Interested in adoption? You may be eligible for adoption assistance! Michaels will reimburse you up to $5,000 per adoption to help cover adoption fees, attorney fees, court costs, travel expenses, medical fees (for the child) and temporary foster care. To apply, you must meet all criteria outlined in the policy (available in French and English) and complete the necessary form within six months of the finalization of the adoption.
