If you are an eligible full-time Team Member, Michaels offers disability insurance to replace part of your income if you are unable to work for an extended period of time.
Short-Term Disability (STD)
The STD plan provides income protection if you cannot work due to an illness or non-work-related injury. Michaels provides this benefit at no cost to all eligible full-time Team Members. If you are a full-time salaried Team Member, STD replaces 100% of pay for the first 17 weeks of disability. If you are a full-time hourly Team Member, STD replaces 66.67& of pay, up to $1,000 per week, for the first 17 weeks of disability.
Team Members that have completed the waiting period and are working the required 32-hour average and are enroled in the plan can file a claim. To request a Leave of Absence or to file a disability claim, contact CBML at 844-636-9622.
